Mosler is one of the few companies that built race cars first (30 x 900R’s) – won races all over the world with them, and THEN built 20 street-legal 900s. This car is twenty years old – but is still a top-5 choice on @forzamotorsport e-racing !
Project Details
Research
Researching Daytona 24 and LeMans livery designs, we set out to craft a design that plays homage to Gulf designs of the 70’s and 80’s. We redesigned the hood lines to have a better flow that connects with the pillars so that the the canopy felt more aerodynamic.
Collaboration
Splashing custom Mosler typography across the windshield and wing, you can’t miss this car. Badging and sponsorship logos were designed to make this street legal car feel not so street legal. Over 30 configurations were explored before we landed on a final, which was executed by ACI Dynamix.
Used a 3M metallic midnight purple that catches the light beautifully.
A challenge was trying to pull the pinstripe all the way to the rear and finding a clean way to terminate it without creeping into the lights.
